need app tips

hey, i was looking thro the articles and attempting a few app missions. and found out u need alot of stuff to get these done. i got olly and tried to use it for the 1st one but couldent. i resorted to notepad and did it. but it doesnt look like the rest can be done in notepad. any tips or programs i'll need would be appreciated.

From what I can remember, the only program's you'll ever need are OllyDbg and VBReformer.

The tools I used for these challenges were

1. a debugger (OllyDbg)
2. a hexeditor (XVI32)
3. a decompiler (Reflector)
4. a flash decompiler (Action Script Viewer)

Of course there are many alternatives, but these are simple and free tools (Except for Action Script Viewer, but there's a free demo available).

You could also try IDA Pro Demo, that's quite a decent program, so's NuMega SmartCheck and VBReFormer :)

also try debuggy; w32dasm and some similar tools…:ninja:
