How do I use a hex editor? i downloaded one and opened App 1 in it but have no idea what to do

When you open the file just look in asci decoded hex, and search for something connected with password.

Personaly…im learning at this type of challenges but i think that you should simply open it up with the hex editor and simply search for anything that is highlited or ect…always begin with the simply …then if everything is not so simply….you can start searching for something related to what you are looking for….in this case a password…so you could search for something like pwd, or pass ect….
