need a bit of web help

I'm trying to send email with php without using an smtp server.

I can't even accomplish it with a smtp server but I need something that I can take from server to server.

Err not that i'm using it for spamming. I just need to give a few webmasters the ability to have email sent to them when their users submitt a form.

I know it can be done but how?

I posted here because the webmasters lounge looks rather neglected.

Well, just on a whim… you could have it read an smtp server setting from an external file on the web server.
