Download Malwarebytes and run it, It should remove it if not use Hijackthis and post the log.

Here are your best options:

  1. Reinstall
  2. Get linux
  3. Destroy Comuter

EDIT: Thought I would post something productive… Why not just reinstall firefox? :S And, for the next time, perhaps consider installing noscript and browsing with that? I feel insecure not using it on linux, never mind a windows box.

WTF, You don't start reinstalling your OS because of a virus,spyware or malware that's just retarded. Most programs like malwarebytes or xoftspy can remove them with no problem. If not and you don't know how to read Hijackthis logs, Use combofix.

A list of extensions that I can recommend, all of these enhance Firefox's safety;

  1. NoScript
  2. SafeHistory
  3. SafeCache
  4. Localrodeo

thanks everyone @f16e7 the only one that's still compatible with Firefox is NoScript

Use nightly tester tools to reinforce compatibility. Also, don't just look on the official firefox addon pages, but just google the names.

Glad to help :) Although I still do highly recommend the use of noscript….

Edit: Although you do seem to know alot about popup blockers already, so ignore my last sentence if your already using it.
