Task Manager Disabled By Administrator

… I have some spyware or something here on my laptop, ive been fighting it, and it disabled my Task Manager. I've tried gpedit.msc and disabled the "Remove CTL + ALT + DEL", but it still says "Task Manager has been disabled by your Administrator. Also, I'm the only account, and I'm the administrator! Any suggestions?

download a new one. you can find some pretty nice ones online. most of them are just free trial versions, but once you've killed the virus you can just uninstall the trial.

edit: also try ctrl+shift+esc that is the direct shortcut for the task manager.

As I've said, I've already tried that.

Dingus,

I had the same problem. Restricted access to the registry as well. Beat it using the Remove Restrictions Tool i found here…

Scroll down a little to get the download.

Use it to re-enable your task manager and regedit and many others…

Hope it helps
