So, I just downloaded Backtrack 2 and I can't seem to get it to recignize my wireless card (Built-In). I have an HP Dv6500 and my Wifi card is, Intel(R) Wireless Wifi Link 4965AGN card and my Ethernet is, Realtek RTL8101 Family PCI-E Fast Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0). I there way to make BT2 recognize it? Links or direct posts much appreciated.

Thanks in advanced ~Zerophenix1

I found this forum thread:

http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-396204.html

… which led me to these two solutions:

http://kuscsik.blogspot.com/2007/06/how-to-install-intel-4965-wireless.html http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=471794

I would suggest trying the first solution initially, as the second solution with ndiswrapper apparently has the potential to cause a few issues. Also, these solutions both seem to apply to HDD installs; if you're planning on only running BT off of the LiveCD, then you'll probably need to find an alternative solution.

Hope that helps some.

Edit: Also, straight from Intel's website… the Linux driver with ReadMe:
