Privacy in an internet cafe
My details have just been taken at an internet cafe,which means they suspect my activities online.I just realized how easy it would be for the owner to sit at the main terminal and sniff out my passwords or see the sites I use.
I know that the passwords can be protected by encrypting it in the browser itself and then sending it online(I think gmail does that,it should).But how to I protect my web usage from him?
In my country,you can be put in jail for 6 months for using a keylogger,but its completely legal for the cafe owner to grab your details.They say it helps them keep out pornography viewers(all porn is banned here),but I am not comfortable with some idiot viewing my info.
Also,using things like anonymizer is not that comfortable(I dont think that would protect me from anyone willing to go through my data).
What can be done to prevent this? Any suggestions?
Note:I know that getting a home connection would be better,but I am paying the man for the use of his net and comp. and my right to privacy must be respected.If not willingly,then forcefully.

Well,yes,he could manipulate packets,but he wont.Two reasons: 1.)This guy hasnt got the smarts,looking at a Cain and Abel screen is one thing,manipulating packets another.
2.)It really quite easy to detect and its illegal,you go in for fraud,impersonation,using a software for malicious purposes,etc.That would give you 1-3 years easy and I can even sue him.(Cyber crime divisions of the police here work real fast when you complain(in easy cases at least))
