Is it the smart and ethical decision?

Hello Friends, This is my first post on these forums. Please be kind. ;) Ok, So this is the dealio. I am a pretty smart kid in school BUT BUT, I suck in spanish! My 10th grade teacher gave me a horrid 65! YES A 65!!!! Little did he know that he completely ruined my transcript. :angry: That baka… Anyway… My question is this. Would it be wise to "hack" into the schools, No actually hack into the whole department of educations directory just to change my grade from a 65 to an 80?… I am just curious guys. I can dam well guarentee that there is an exploit. I have made this into a three stage d attack. First I intend to get the website (easy). From there I will have many options… Crack admin username, pwd, get its ip, Nmap etc etc. OR the most awesome tool of a hacker, SE :D.
As of now, I have not started on this little ruse of mine… I wanted the guru's of HBH or anyone for that matter to let me know If it is worth it. I mean… I love to be called a "hacker" but I also want to be successful in life… and a 65 WILL NOT help. Anyway, Thank you for reading this.

get an email spoofer.. pretend to be someone of higher authority and say student grade results arnt the best so please offer students in need extra credit oppurtunitys.

trust me. it works. i got 20 points added on a test in german last year cause i spoofed that.. something about this progress check for sports and anyoen in althetics doing poorly give extra credit.

there is no patch for human stupidity..and so long as he is the one changing the grade, go for it.

ok man. 1st of all, the website is not garenteed(sp) to be hosted on the same server as the grades. 2ndly, remember a school IS a gov't building so your talking major crime if you get caught. 3rd, your teaching yourself a bad habit of taking the easy way out. hacking is not about how to get around life like that, its about knowelge and using it to change a grade isn't the thing to do….trust me. if you do anything go with the mail spoof, cuz then your doing the extra work to bring the grade up, not just editing a few numbers.

Well whatever you decide to do, and I say it's definitly your choice, I'm looking forward to hearing from you again and see how you solved the problem :happy:

I agree with only_samuri and that taking the easy way out, a number here, an injection here, done. At least, in my opinion, going with the email is a bit of extra work, but you are also playing with the feeble mind of a human. TYhe fact it is his stupidity losing- alot better than click, type, highlight, delete, enter.

so what.. your not good at spanish.. do you wanna be a translator or spanish teacher?.. no.. then who gives a monkeys.

if you were failing say.. IT / computing because you were too smart for the subject (and yes it is possible).. then that would be the time to "change your grades".

but if its another subject that you simply cant grasp as easily as others.. not worth hassle you'll go through, just to boost yourself a few marks.

-actually you can win, always, no exeption. In a game, when you are can't make progress because your weapons suck, you cheat: Shift F12 –> type godmode –> done

For your situation just cheat another way. Hacking should be your last option (really extreme measure). You can settle this by doing your best and go to the teacher and explain why you want a higher grade and that you would appriciate it if you could redo your test, or something.

You always can win, there's always a backdoor somewhere, in this situation, there are many ways to win, some better/more legal then others.

I am agreeing with a lot of people on this matter. I would cut your losses and take a 65 in Spanish. Who cares? it is highschool. Not going to make you loose a job because you got a 65 in spanish. I failed Grade 12 advanced mathematics way back when and to tell you the truth it has not hurt me. The reason I failed is because I showed the teacher that her way is not the only way to do things. I did not get below an 80% on any test but I showed up late to class and very rarely did my homework ( or actually I always did it but I never showed my work) so I ended up with a 45%.

I took the class again and came out with an 85% doing the same thing with a new teacher. I would just accept the 65 becuase who really cares?

Thats what I originally thought but thought, if he is going to do it, this is what he should. Oooooo, spanish. My old teacher DID flunk me in like, grade five for out smarting her in math, computers and literacy. Well, not flunk, but all c's. Every years before, nothing but A+ in those subjects, and same after. Whats that tell you:P

LOL.. Blumoose hahaha… Let me just thank you for your responses…. It is a difficult decision and I KNOW that if I get caught My life will be ruined forever…. I cannot talk to that stinkin teacher guys.. He is not a nice person! Besides this happened in 10th grade. Now I am in 11th grade AND my spanish has improved! I got a 96 on it last semester. Mr_Cheese you are correct.. One cannot win them all… but hey… Can't one atleast try?? :D … Only_Samurai you have a good point. I guess … I have to think this through really throughly…

BTW If i do go ahead with the hacking option, I will take my time.. Meaning that I will go step by step analyzing all the options. Foot-printing to the max :happy: I am very happy that you all have such great opinions and Thank you again.

spyware -> As my science teacher "You can cheat, but don't caugh". Ya life is like a game, you can cheat but if you get caugh you're ban. If you cheat at school you risk the rest of your life … Don't take chance, accept that you fail or try to talk with your teacher.

i say live with it because unless u plan to be a spanish teacher its nothin worth risking that much for

email spoofing works perfectly.. you just need to be convincing and know what your saying.

and.. this is a spanish class remember.. who cares about spanish? get that grade up in the 90s by all means!

people cheat more in spanish then any other class.. so use the methods you know best to cheat in a more progressive manor, rather then having a cheat sheet pinned between your knee and the table. you know?

if your just going to sit down and sit with the 65.. (failure) why not atleast try? always.. try.

heya, just thought i would throw my 2 cents in on this issue, in all mindset yea it seems like a great idea but look at what could happen, someone finds out what you did you get in a shit load of trouble. also there is a subject that certian people arent good at, i have one ive had to take the fucking course 3 times -.- god…but neways, i wouldnt cheat your way into a "B"

also on a side note if you plan on doing what you want to do, that just gives the ingnorant people of this world more of a reason to hate hackers. becuase they do shit like that……..
