We do these ctfs but what if we made a really long ctf with a goal at the end and not just challenges. A scavenger hunt with our skills if you will.

That's a pretty neat idea.

What would the goal at the end be? RCE on a box? Unfettered access to a website? Those are already the goals for many of the CTFs found around the web.

That is true but sometimes it is fun to create something a little different that would also convey a story (it would probably be a lot like picoctf) plus it would get more people into hacking.
