nLite is a tool for permanent Windows component removal and pre-installation Windows setup. After removal there is an option to make bootable image ready for burning on cd or testing in virtual machines. With nLite you will be able to have Windows installation which on install doesn't include, or even contain on cd, unwanted components.
you can do some cool stuff with this like make your copy of windows install itself:):):):):)

Metasploit is rapidly becoming a full penetration testing suite, much like Core IMPACT. However, it is Open Source, and requires some knowledge to use. With the introduction of the Metasploit Framework Port scanner module (coded by yours truley), it is coming closer then ever before. I know this thread is old, but it would be nice if we had a really massive repository of tools. including the obvious ones. Im not going to include links to the 3 best hacking tools(ping, telnet, and google), but I am going to start with the next level up.
Netcat, great for using as a backdoor, as a port scanner, a client, a server, you name it. http://netcat.sourceforge.net/download.php
Nessus, very complete vulnerability assessment tool. You need to register for it from the site, but on your debian box, just run apt-get install nessus or in bsd do loacate nessus, and go to the /usr/ports directory with nessus in it. http://www.nessus.org/download/index.php
Ethereal, graphical packet sniffer, great for learning about tcp handshakes, learning about packets etc. also handy for sniffing…. http://www.ethereal.com/download.html
