java virtual machine

ok i have been playing this texed based MMO and today it said that i needed to download JVM so i clicked download and nothing happend. so i went to the java website and downloaded it from there and installed it, restarted the computer and yet it still wont work. does anybody have any clue why?

What OS are you running? Also, check to make sure that its in path (for Windows) and $PATH of *nix.

Also, make sure that the MMO is calling the correct path.

i am using windows 98, and how would you check if the MMO is calling the correct path? sorry i am still new to all this stuff

Hmm, path refers to where the JVM is stored. If you have the source code to it, just open it up and check.

I really don't know that much about Windows, so I'm not gonna be much help here :|
