Okay so when I install kali linux onto my computer it seems to not install grub correctly because I keep getting this error at startup: "grub: unknown file system". So i boot into the live cd and run "grub-install /dev/sda". It doesnt work, so grub isnt installed on my live CD…great. So i run "apt-get install grub2" and basically it starts a freaking GUI in my terminal. And i have no idea how to navigate that GUI inside my terminal so that i can correctly install it. Sorry for the long post, this is about the GUI problem and the "unkown filesystem" error. If you guys could help me with either of them, i would be really greatful.
Lets see whats really going on first of all. Go to http://sourceforge.net/projects/bootinfoscript/ and use that then post the info it gives you.
Probably a small issue but if its what I think it is then it'll be easy to fix.thumbs up
