Disk Partitions, Help..

Ok, so im going for the dual operating system, but i need to partition my HD.

firstly, i can only find expensive software to do the job, has anyone got a recommendation for any free software that will do the trick?

Secondly, do i need to make a EXT2, Linux swap and FAT 32 shared partition?
