hello everyone , so i have this friend of mine who has a nokia cellphone , and it is locked by a password (the password is asked every time he switches on the phone) , and one day , he entered a wrong password three times , and now it has got locked . anyone knows how to unlock it ?

i had tried both of them , but they didn't work . (yeah , i too searched on google) . finally , the rough method of removing both battery and SIM card , and slapping the phone many times worked . now it's unlocked.
