Html5 is the nest step up from html4.01 and it promises features like video playback and drag-and-drop that have been previously dependent on browser plug-ins such as Adobe Flash, Silverlight, and Gears. Html5 introduces new elements and attributes that reflect usage on modern websites. Some of them are semantic replacements for common uses of generic block <div> and inline <span> elements, for example <nav> and <footer>. Other elements provide new things, such as the media elements <audio> and <video>!
