Suse Linux 9.0

Hello!

I've just installed Suse Linux on my computer and I have a problem installing my modem. Actually, I searched Google 1000 times to download drivers to install that damn modem and I read a bunch of guides to do that (please have in mind that I have user skill's on Linux; I don't know all Linux commands).

After downloading the modem driver, I installed gcc (or gcc++ i don't remember exactly) because it was needed for the installation to compile files.

When I configured everything (set up password, username, ISP etc) I connected my ADSL modem on my computer and gave this command: startadsl. Then I got an error and I think it was "Modem is not operational. […]"

The problem is that I'm doing everything correctly but my modem is never operational and I can't connect on the Internet through Linux. :vamp:

Modem Model: F@st 800 Modem Type: USB Modem Company: Sagem

Replies will be highly appreciated.
