hey, i've been using fedora core 4/5 for about 2 years now and am wondering if enabling SE linux is really needed, from my experiance there are very few virus' made for linux. as of now i have SE enabled for both my fedora core 5 main box and for my fedora core 5 apache server. the reason i ask this is because having it enabled seems to slow down my system slightly.

yes it will slow down the system slightly because it is going to be using up resources.

It is up to you. you make the choices if you want AV on your Linux boxes. yes Widespread the virus industry is in MS but there will be more coming to linux as the OS become more popular with the common population.

If slightly means 'just a tiny bit' then I recommend you to use it :)
