ghost | 7710 Reads | iv been wondering weather to submit this for a while now and i finaly figured that i would, most people will already know about this method but it helped me alot when i started hacking so i guess someone will find use for it.
Bypassing Windows XP Logon
Are you having problems logging on to your system? Forgot your password and need to gain administrator controls? No problem. Just use this simple technique!
First off, restart the system that we wanna bypass. Before windows loads, like right after you turn it on, start pressing F8 repeatidly. Afterwards, you will see a menu screen asking what type of startup do you want to use. Choose safe mode with command prompt. Then it will ask you to choose a username, but as you will notice, there is a user called “administratorâ€ÂÂÂ, and he requires no password J . Choose administrator and logon. Now you should be seeing a command prompt type of screen. Type in: “chdir\\†to see which is your maind drive. Then type in: “Start C:\\†since in my case it is C:\\.
Once your in, you should have administrator powers. So you can now pretty much do anything you want… Make a new account, mess with the old ones, whatever. Remember, in Safe Mode, you cannot use the internet, but if you set up a new account and login with the new account, you can use the internet J. This isn’t the only way to do this, but it’s the one I mainly use, since it even lets you use it even if your windows is disabled.(What I mean by windows disabled is when you have an unregistered copy of windows. It gives you 30 days to activate your windows, or it locks you out.)
Use this information wisely. Its cool when you go into those department stores who think they have it figured out cuz the only users for their sample computers are like restricted, and then you come, restart, and make your own account.

This is a shit article. And most network admin's have there administrator account password protected.

I'd have to agree that most network administrators put a password on the admin accounts, so this is rather useless.

If I was to image a machine with no administrator password I would shoot myself in the foot. Not all people who work on computers know nothing. Only good for kiddies wanting to get administrator rights to their parents computers that were purchased from DELL, HP, Futureshop or other stores and just left them as it comes off the shelf.

Well if in case the admin doesnt have a password protect on it then then you can boot with f8 in safe mode with networking, this gives you internet and admin, but if it is password protected then you can choose guest. If that doesnt work and you have a account that that has restictions then you can save "Brute Force" on a disk and pop it in the computer to crack the password.

What you have posted is good but theres a problem that if some intellegent person has given a password to admin account then this would never work… Try something different

good attempt but very few pcs nowadays dont have a password on the admin account so its not much use unfortunately. if only hacking a pc was as easy as that in the real world.

why the safe mode anyways???? start it normal, when reaching login use CTRL + ALT + DEL twice a login window will appear, Enter Administrator as username and no password …. you get full access :(:(:(:(:(:(:(
in case of no pass is set for admin account ….
another way is to burn ophcrack for what ever the windows your using and boot from CD, let it do all the work :ninja::ninja::ninja:
