Basics: A good Machine To work off. The internet A brain Logic Windows (yuck , but I use it …) or Linux … Idk which one.. An email address!
Progs: Core FTP Artmoney (For basic memory editing) OllyDbg Flash decompiler Firefox Putty An IRC viewer/chat program. Cain Abel Jack the Ripper
Various addons for firefox such as: Add n edit cookies Web developers toolbar Referer/spoof addon user agent switcher..

great….you have submitted a list and it somehow got past the mods….how about some explinations? what are all these things you've listed? why are they essential?

you might want to put some skills in mathematics I'm sure combinatorics and finite field theory should be there along with graph theory.

Add n edit cookies is a waste of space when you have web dev. Also, I suggestdual-booting linux and windows is amazing if you are smart enough to secure it properly. (ok, xp if your smart, vista doesn't matter, everything else… BURN)

I really hated this article. I mean, it isn't article at all. You can't learn anything new from this. You didn't mention any advanced tool/program. pfft

ever heard of NMAP? nub lol :P oh and apache/xampp if youre planning on running any web exploits oh and a compiler for whichever langs you happen to like im surprised you didnt mention a RAT :P
