Hackers in Britain

Hackers in Britain

Well, until the hacker news is in place I beleave this deserves to be said..

Hackers in Britain hacked a very well used train station and the results were truly fatal.

The alleged hackers got a list of social security numbers and every other bit of information on every worker at a very well used and known train station. Using the information they extracted almost 22 thousand Euro. thats almost 26.2 thousand USD.

The hackers amazingly remained anonymous and the government is just now going into investigation.

This sort of media attention is what gives hackers a bad name, but then again shows how much the world of hackers knows.

make sure to comment.

I think what they did was bullshit. Hacking shouldn't be done to steal from people.

exactly. this is what gives hackers a bad name. no one should take advantage of a situation like that.

Hmm..Although it further highlights the need for adequate security.

Social security from workers eh.. thats just not cool wheres the morality ? The thing with hacks that involve cybertheft..is where the hell does the money go? charity…i doubt it

I can see the media playing the angle of **hacker look hacker **quite clearly though… It hasnt made news over here sofar and for that im glad.

What i wonder though.. what makes a hacker turn from what all we are here doing learning and educating to Right ill ripe of a bunch of hard working civilians..

i have no answers..

Hey watcher you are fucking wrong. i would rather beat the shit out of myself than steal money from hard working people. When you say shit like that you are only reflecting your true feelings.

Bullshit…. You just can't see it yet the feelings of when theres money involved in a hack…… And so what if i feel that way about it…. It's my life, i live how i want.

watcher, although yes, there may be money involved and its YOUR life.. think about it like this.. every little bit of money is controlled by the government, by stealing money u are stealing from the government, thus now ur fucked for a federal crime and for stealing information from a company. then to add onto it the ammount of money u make a company lose usually adds up to ur jail time, 26 million USD, if they get caught thats like 40+ years.

On this point I will say that to gain that much intel on people is amazing and I hope that in the future there is better security for those folks. However, my question to those hackers is "Why all the theft?" How many young kids and parents had to go without food and stuff because their money was stolen. Yeah, I said that the gaining of the info. was amazing, but what was done with that info. was just heartless. With great power comes great responsibility, this quote I believe to the core of my being, and by the other posted comments I think others here would agree to its wisdom. My next question is, how many of you might be willing to do something to help all of those affected by the theft? :|

Hey watcher. Money is not a motivater in my life. The possibility of financial gain for doing a hack would not allow me to corrupt what little morals I have.

Also if you think of a way for me to prove that to every one let me know.

well, actually i very much doubt their familes went without food etc because they had money stolen. Most of them will of got all their money back via insurance.

I was merely making an extreme example about the consequences of their actions. And on another note: Insurance companies like to take money, but hate giving it back regardless of the circumstances…;)

Meh, You say this but when it comes to the real thing i guess we will see!

could it have been an insurance fraud attempt ? :o :@ :|

god, that would certainly put a spin on things. I could believe that it was an attempt at fraud, at least it cannot be discounted…:|

That are not hackers, but thieves. Btw: why does everyone say 'hackers'? I don't see why they should be two or more…
