I think that title is a bit overkill. It only said that the majority of IT workers thought that he should be jailed after he's found to be guilty. Knowing the "justice system", he will be found guilty, whether proper evidence exists or not. That's the society we live in today; it's not always pleasant, but it's a reality we have to deal with.

yeah, bit of an exageration considering they all said he should be punished regardless, but 52% just said no to jail time. but none the less, i'd be in that 52%, i think the obsurd amount of jail time they want to inflict on him is obsurd.

I think a moderate amount of jail time is called for… costing money from security breaches and stealing money from a bank both amount to the same thing: lost money. I agree that they shouldn't be trying so hard to make an example of him, though… justice should be fair and level, not motivated by alterior motives.

i second that he doesnt need to be an example because whatever happens to him isnt going to stop anything, it may even encourage some to try harder ;)
