Computer program could fix elections?
American computer programmer who has testified under oath, states he was hired by Congressman Tom Feeney in 2000 to create a prototype software package that could secretly rig an election.
According to the programmer, the actual code is less than 100 lines and very simple to make, "anyone could do it". He says his prototype program could sway election results 51 / 49 to a specified side.

Some of these "hackers" make such simple programs that work so efficiently, even some of us could build them. :D

this is a prefect example of why people don't want to use these. Yeah, they are faster, more effecient, but….they can be made to do things. But, on the other side, when we counted by hand, the same thing can be done, not on quite as large of a level, but it could still affect things. I suppose the point is moot since people aren't honest, no matter what we do, someone will try something to rig it

We had a similar scandal here in quebec(ongoing) the autamated machines are said to have been hacked and the outcome changed i find it hard to belive becase who would bother doing that for a municiple election but hey there talkbing bout all of ohio could certenly happen

Ya, I hate to say it because it is bad for the hacker culture, but it is better for them to just stick a camera over top of the ballets and read through them

haha, for some reason I find it kind of wierd that Tom Feeny, who is a active anti-hacker and would love to contorl the internet through companys (net neutrality, ect..) is hiring a hacker to find a way to hack voting systems…lol
