Good news to London Residents

The aim is to make the Square Mile the biggest wireless zone in Europe. Once installed, the WiFi network will allow anyone in the City to access the Internet using their laptops or wireless PDA devices.

I live in India too. But I also wish I had free high speed internet here. I STILL have a 128 kbps connection….cable. Can you believe it? :o

There are some cities here in the states that are doing this type of thing, but unfortunately it's not happening where I live….lol:|

I'm just wondering wether or not the London council or government gave consideration to the security risks involved in this and wether they made it secure or not

there are allready several versions of this covering whole boroughs, hackers are mostly just as hard to catch in homes as they are in the streets.

It's not just london you know. Most cities with universitys (mainly) will be getting total wifi coverage. There are already 16 wifi spots in my town already.. although they are WEP protected. Nintendo have a lot to do with that.

Hackers in britain are better off too, the U.S. goverment is asking computer companies, website hosts, internet providers, and search engines for search logs and confidential information. All the more better reason to move to britain
