Still 45 members at the moment of posting. That's still a bit. And also, maybe 3000 should be a user cleanup mark?

Like announce that all accounts who have no posts and/or points will be erased unless they "report in" within a week.

well still I'm sure a newbi doesnt wna turn up and see 30,000 users a little dawnting no? lol but if you do do it then i highly reconmend oyu make an authentisy check coz remmeber my "dumb people" thread? BTW, i think you should clean up users and Old PM's maybe merge some threads? get some people to right articles summerising overly long threads and then deleting them? locking some threads which weren't intended to be continued? Deleting some threads full stop, BUT NONE BECAUSE YOU DON'T AGREE WITH WHAT THEY ARE SAYING!!!! besides abusive racist yadda yadda yadda…

Cheese, how are you defining active? Is an active forum user someone with a post count > 0? Is an active Challenge user someone with more than zero points?

sadly yes. which isnt a realistic representation of "active". But it does show the ratio of inactive accounts.
