HBH is in hosting problems at the moment. I have just been speaking with Jonn4y, who has been kindly hosting us for free since we started. However he is only a reseller, and his host have told him to remove HBH and coders united from the server.

HBH is in hosting problems at the moment. I have just been speaking with Jonn4y, who has been kindly hosting us for free since we started. However he is only a reseller, and his host have told him to remove HBH and coders united from the server.
So basically, HBH has 2 weeks (could be less) to find new hosting. It would be greatly appreicated if a HBH member could host HBH for a month or so, until we can find a suitable dedicated server. I have a couple friends i will speak to regarding hosting. So hopefully this shouldnt be too much of a problem.
But now is the time to donate, if you have been planning to. HBH needs more funds to afford monthly dedicated server costs. So please donate, even if its just $5.. every little will help. If you could also offer hosting for a month / permanently then please contact Mr_Cheese via email.

wtf dude, you guys say you're a hacking site, host on one of your own boxes, i guarantee you this will most likely keep happening because you're a hacker site, thus you're a liability. I mean no offense, but this is a hacking site, you're using a CMS made by some other place, and you dont even try out hosting on one of your own boxes. I just think it's kind of… un-hacker-like to constantly depend on other stuff. -No offense, Psycha

Also, how do i donate, why not set up a po box in the uk? or soemthing because i have no other way to donate that i can think of.

if i could host it myself i would, however due to router / parental / bandwidth problems, i cant. so STFU xerox/psycha. Perhaps you could try saying something constructive once in a while.

Psycha, you clearly don't understand the burden of a medium sized site like this on your own computer. Anyways, if this goes down, I'm gonna have to cry in a small corner, I should probably do the missions…

yes make sure to contact dj-bri-t. right now he is on a camping trip but we are currently setting up reseller hosting. I am sure he will give you guys some space on his stuff untill he can have the hosting set up. PM me with details about what you need.

Or you could go to t35.com for temp free hosting but I havent looked into how much space and stuff you can get out of that.

How much would it cost for you guys to get your own hosting service? i mean you have some money goin to the site from the zine and maybe people will give you guys some donations

Well, I was planning on buying reseller hosting like AltonRashmire and Omnipresence mentionned. My initial plan was to have everything up and running by September 1st, but I see that would be too late for you.
My main concern for the hosting is that I break even price-wise. Email or PM me regarding your hosting requirements, and I'll quote you a price. If you're up to it, I'll make the biggest attempt I can to push the hosting start date forward to keep HBH up and running.

Or donate computers or parts or other things that could be sold for cash. (Example) i have dvdrom i dont use and a scuzzy drive.

wait you get money for clicking on the ads? then why not everyone write a page viewer that will do it for you?

because then we brake the ToS of the adverts and then loose all our revenue and get kicked from the adverts.

How much space does HBH need? Would 1 gigbyte be fine? Bandwidth?
I ask because I've got a reseller friend who offers a pretty good deal. And right now he's got a promotion where if you pay yearly, you get 2 months free.
He was OK with me having info on hacking hosted by him a while ago, but I'm not sure about now. He usually just has one rule. No porn or warez whatsoever. HBH definately passes.
