I'm sure a good number of you have been unable to reach HBH over the last 24 hour or so. This is due to only_samruai (server security manager) developing security scripts to counter these DDoS attacks, however its so effective it seems to have banned a few IP's that werent even attacking the website!

This is due to only_samruai (server security manager) developing security scripts to counter these DDoS attacks, however its so effective it seems to have banned a few IP's that werent even attacking the website!

I'm sure you've noticed occasionally the site gets slower due to these cowardly attacks. We're trying to counter these, but due to the nature (DDoS) of these attacks, in some ways its impossible to battle.. hence why its often thought of as a cowardly way of affecting a website.

I don't see how DDoS is "cowardly" simply based on the fact that it's oftentimes impossible to battle. I would call that "effective".

it proves that the idiot behind it doesn't know shit about hacking… it is cowardly, if effective. Better for him to root hbh and screw around with some of the server's OS components, bu tno, he's just an idiot skiddie

@Thor Rooting isn't always an option. I can guarantee you that most "idiot skiddies" have no clue how to execute a syn packet flood or a teardrop attack. Certain DDoS techniques require far more networking and packet shaping knowledge then is possessed by the average script kid.

@lesserlightsofheaven I think that DDoS should only be used as a last resort. There are always other ways IMO. If the attacker had a imagination I'm sure they could come up with a decent non-DDoS method. Just my two cents. B)

@only_samurai Congrats on coming up with anti-DDoS scripts, and lawl for making them overly efficient ;)

so any ideas on which skiddie is doing this? and if so ban their IP unless its dynamic :S but either way static or dynamic i guess you can still change your IP

Why hack a site that helps you better your hacking skills? Youd be better off DDoS-ing a government website; then all the damn skiddies would get arrested.:angry:
