Rooting 2 is now open to the public. Its a simple challenge just there to give the people will little linux experiance a bit of knowledge with common linux commands.
Its worth 50 points because its farily easy (so all you who completed it when you shoudlnt have done…ggrrr. lucky you for a extra 30 points!
This challenge was done by mozzer who is also nearly finished with a new hard realistic challenge that deals with an exploit that hbh hasnt even touched apon yet so should be interesting for everyone. More challenges to come, including apps, javascript, realistics!

what about my social engineering one i coded up. id liek to see that go up. we need some more of those.

If you need application challenges coded, I can make some… Graphical or command line, different difficulty etc just tell me :) it'd be a lot of fun to make something special for the site.

hated the SE ones Unless you got something other than asking several…several….several+ 300 questions. Otherwise, they'd all be the same…..

i think BoF should be added into the rooting challenges next, then format string hacks, but for now rooting challenges are on hold i believe…

Not really, I have coded a base for all rooting challenges, you just edit the config file and BAM

no my SE is much different. you just need to ask a few questions but you can actually SE the guy with just reading things carefully :)

It's hard to make good SEing challenges because you can never pretend to be tech support and things like that.

Yes, I am just saying that SE challenges are never going to be perfect as you cannot make one which does stuff like that. I'm not really a fan of SE challenges, its more like a guessing game

ive had an idea for a quick SE where you have to spoof your email and spoof it to a email address given and then send an email to the email address and the admins would check off that the email was sent correctly and give pts to the member

@hack4u THATS A GOOD IDEA!! Not to hard to code either.. like- make it random *@hellboundhackers.org email address.. well, maybe it will.. b/c you use a dif address.. if it was the same address to all users than it will be a simple task.. hack4u do you mind if I code that one up? Don't wanna steal your idea.
