Turns out all the problems HBH has faced, has boiled down to just one person with a grudge on HBH. Now we are back, and the owner of this server has offered a very nice package for HBH and is a enthusiastic member. Good server too, the whole HBH Database was uploaded in literally a matter of seconds. Never seen any server operate that fast. (HBH is a very big site and have a very big database).

I'm in the process of getting exact up to date backups so new features i added in the past 15 days arent uploaded yet.

His name is Richard Hamill and he runs <a href='http://www.rhserve.com' target='_blank'>RHServer. I also believe he is in some way related to LayeredTech, as this guy was the one to personally delete HBH from a previous layeredtech server without telling us first. Richard Hamill 104 Hopefield Road, Portrush, BT56 8HF Great Britain contact him via: email - rh1988@gmail.com home telephone number - 02870 822982

I'm in the process of getting exact up to date backups before our previous hosts fucked us over and terminated the account. So features like the new codebank / article system and all over mini changes you probably didnt notice! are not on HBH at the moment.

Also, i am enquiring into changing ISP, buying a 4mbps connection, and self hosting. There will be a few things i will ask HBH members to do, so i can get this setup alot quicker. Basically, i need a box to host it on. Any UK Members could perhaps donate one? Or perhaps any very active and enthusiatic members could buy E-Membership / make large donations(that wont go unrewarded), or Buy T-Shirts. I can donate about £100, but this is most likely going to be spent on months worth of bandwidth costs from my ISP, as it costs £30 per month. Even if you have no money yourself and no way to donate, then you can simply just take 5 seconds of your time and click the ads once or twice a day. (dont be a idiot and click 500 times, otherwise that will get my account terminated and hbh looses another source of income.)

If i get enough funds, then this will deffo go ahead. All donations will go straight to HBH and none will go to buying me a beer :( But, i have to prioitize! personally i believe HBH > Beer. Call me crazy, but it just shows my commitment!

Common guys and girls! Lets get HBH setup permantly for good.

I will definately donate some money ASAP (maybe in month to HBH)… I love this site, and enjoy hanging out with its members. I encourage everyone else to do the same… even if its a small amount.

i can donate the loose change down the back of my sofa…. seriously though i click the add links all the time but as most of the links come up with some variation of "sorry the person wishing to advertise does not want users from outside your target group" so i dont know if im helping or not.

Cheese make sure when you look into getting a 4Mbit connection you look at the upload. most of the ISP services are 4Mbit down and 800Kbit up. make sure you are getting a decent upload rate ;) good to see us up again though.

its not illegal, this information is publically avaiable here - http://www.whois.net/whois.cgi2?d=www.RHServe.com

but its not illegal, and this guy is an asshole, and WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK THAT POSTING INFO LIKE THIS IS ILLEGAL!?!?!?! ;)

not illegal, but it doesn't bode well for that person whose info is on a hacker site with at least 900 hackers ticked that he tried to steal their hangout, while it isn't illegal, and I say go ahead and put it up…I can see how it isn't nessicarily the best thing to do when people are sitting there searching for reasons to take the site down

what i have posted is not illegal and i have not posted it with any malisious intent. as any respectable webmaster would do, it is important members are kept up to date and know the full story for any situation that affects them. i am merely letting everyone know the reasons HBH has been having downtime and i am providng as much information as possible so people can get a greater understanding.

stichup, you're a party pooper ! I'm sure everyone on HBH is responsible enough to know what they're doing. If the info was up and ready for anyone to do a whois on the site, then whats wrong with posting it here ? You can ask "Why put his address up?", but someone else can say "Why not?". Be cool, if anyone does anything too stupid with it, its their own fault B)
