Logging usernames and passwords on a network using Cain & Able ARP Poisining

Run Cain and go to Sniffer. Click the little plus sign at the top and tick "All hosts in my subnet" and hit OK. It will now scan for all internal IP adresses on the network you are currently on.

After that click APR at the bottom tabs. Now run a command prompt and figure out which IP is the router IP by typing "ipconfig" without the "". you should get something like:

Ethernet adapter Wireless Network Connection 2:

    Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
    IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.3
    Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
    Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1

the Default Gateway is the router IP. so for me it wud be 192.168.1.1.

now click the little plus sign at the top and in the left side select the router IP. in the right side select the victim IP then press OK. now you should see something like:

Idle 192.168.1.1 0000A9FB23F9 0000A9FB23C3 192.168.1.2

now click the little nuclear sign at the top and the Status (Idle) should change to Poisining. Now any packets flying in or out of the computer will be intercepted by your computer. To see if the packets were any password packets click the passwords tab at the bottom. Now u can select form a list of password types: FTP HTTP IMAP POP3 SMB Telnet VNC

and a bunch more.

Enjoy!
