Skills needed: an understanding of directories An understanding of binary Sharp eyes

FontStyle is a website that has a lot of fonts stored only for members and my friend was a member of FontStyle but he got kicked out, you have download this font stored in this server by selecting the link and then submitting it.
Target: download the first font jack11 column

Step 1. First you will want to have a look around. obviously to download you need a username and password so lets get one. Go to members and you will see a list of all the members (look at the url bar and remember this directory, you will need it later), we should target one user to make it easier so which one should we choose? That’s right “Bam”, he’s new so he might not know his way around too well and he might make mistakes.

Step 2. Now we know who to target lets have another look around. Go to order and snoop around, all you see is a bunch of forms but what happens when we submit/click to continue? You should get an error message and if we look closely at the error message we see a directory. Unfortunately part of it is made up of ’s so we will have to find the rest of it (not all the ’s in the first part accounts for letters, there art too many). Do you remember the directory I told you to remember in step 1? Now add /mem/ onto it and you have the directory so now we just need the file. Go back to the error message and have another look at it, this one you have to guess but it is not that hard (“file just tells you it is a file, it is not part of the word). First of all think that it is just storing information it isn’t some fancy php or javascript file so the end part would be “.***” (think of a notepad document). Ok now the file, think what is happening to the money, it is being transmitted, so try the word that comes to mind and if that’s not it try the next (this time the *’s are the exact amount of letters) if you haven’t got it by now you need to think less.

Step 3. Ok so now you have the file ****/mem/trans. but it is encoded, well if you can’t figure this one out I think you should go back to basic but I wouldn’t be writing this tutorial if I didn’t want to help so here it is. (you only need the stuff above the word done) Well it is obviously binary so go to (http://nickciske.com/tools/binary.php) to decode it. (for those of you who still don’t get it, binary is made up of 0’s and 1’s nothing else so take out the *’s :’s etc…).

Step 4. the decoded words will have username then pass then card and card number but you only need the pass so single that out. Go to members and click on Bam, you will be presented with a box to enter your password so enter bam’s password which you got from the decoded binary. Now you can see all the fonts so let’s finish the mission. Find the first font under Jack11 and type it into the box at the bottom of the page.
