Hacking isn't only about computers, its about technology, safety, intelligence, and having a blast. Urban defacement is hell of a fun thing to do. I've defaced several property with signs from HBH, and I've learned a few lessons that I would like to share with my friends from HBH.

For those who don't know about urban defacement go to http://www.hellboundhackers.org/defacement.php Looking at the link above you'll probably see the basics of urban defacement, and if you don't I will not hand feed you the basics nor should you even try to deface something. Most likely if you do you'll be arrested.

Every hacker has the goal to advance their skills as far as possible, defacing property and plain old pissing people off is a skill. Hopefully this guide will increase your skill at urban defacement and help you contribute more to HBH.

Tips

• Your signature being left with HBH all over it is important! As you see in the URL above many fellow HBH users used a simple piece of paper, some used a signboard, and others used chalk. Obviously you can find many different ways to deface a property without breaking the law. I would post some of my thoughts and signs but I know (almost) every one of you are bundled with talent.

• Pissing off the property owners is also fun, but you don't want to get caught. Almost everyone who uses a digital camera has the recording in video option. Well what are you waiting for? Take a picture of your defacement then record the employees ripping the sign off, or even you being chased by them.

• Getting your defacement noticed is also important. Make sure plenty of people see it. Hang it on doors, windows, even above urinals and in stalls! People will definitely look at it when they are taking a dump, because they have nothing else to do than wait.

• Get your sign high. Go to Wal-Mart, Target, and especially Menards, there you will find ladders to post your sign high on shelves.

• If you plan on doing something illegal use safety precautions. Avoid cameras at all costs, and if you notice there's one anywhere do not panic or show your face to the camera any more. Get out of the area and act confident while you are at it. The police will not piss over a petty crime nor will police go through the hassle of identifying you unless you're a repeated offender/felon. HBH does not encourage any member to commit crimes, your break the law at your own risk.

Defacement Procedure Tips

• Print out your defacement signature on a piece of paper, roll them up and dont let them get wrinkled (If anyone asks they are internet papers you printed out at a friends house)
• Stick several inches of duct tape onto your jeans (If anyone asks, its because of holes)
• Bring Camera
• Bring a friend? -Approach your target
• Duct tape your crap on your target
• Take a picture of the sign or have your friend take a picture of you in front of the sign
• Video record someone getting pissed off and ripping it off?
• Repeat

Also keep in mind you can use computers for defacement, as long as you aren't destroying them (E.G. hacking websites, or computer viruses)

That about wraps it up for my article. I could of included a bit more but it would be a waste of my time, mainly because it would cover what you have the capability to do.
