JAVASCRIPT CHALLENGES (Yeah, them all)

Hey Hey, this is my second article. My other one was about the stegano challengs. It helps to have a knowledge of javascript which should not be confused with java for these challenges. This is a legendary site for learn computer lanuages www.w3schools.com !! ok ill not bore you senseless with mombo jombo so lets go…

Javascript 1 First of all we view the soucre as in most of these challenges. We are confronted with some code. Ok you need to select the right bit of code. You might see an extension to the index of this challenge. How about replacing what you have the url with this new code.

Javascript 2 ok, so there a prompt box that keeps coming up. You can’t even get a chance to view the soucre you say. Well try hitting the Esc button i hear that stops pages from loading. Now veiw the source. Try changing the url like in javascript 1. Now we’ve got are code! You can either take the password and use it in the prompt box or edit the url to were that will bring you, which is quicker!(thats the way i prefer)

Javascript 3 This look similar, Javascript 1. So veiw the soucre. You see code which you might not undcerstand. Dont worry. htttp://www.yellowpipe.com/yis/tools/encrypter/index.php is an interesting site. I think the code is in H*x. Decrypte the bit inside the “XXXXX”. Once you have that done you have to read through it. You have to do what you did in javascript 1 but the code needs a bit of changing around.

Javascript 4 Really not to difficult this one. You just need to insert a srp* tag and alert the cookies and ok it. Yes it was that easy.

Javascript 5 Do exactly as you did in javascript 2. When you are presented with some code. Again www.w3schools.com has a brilliant explanation of .get. The only difficult bit is knowing what the browsers use as they Year. Google it and you will have it done in no time.

Javascript 6 View the soucre. This code seems to be more confusing than the ones before. Think about it logically. Remember the way i said i preferred to do javascript, yeah. Well the answers right there, just remove the bits that clearly should be in it when in the url. Stick it in the url and there you go.

Javascript 7 Maddly hit Esc to stop the page from sending you back to javascript index page. View your source. We can learn about substrings and how they work but you should by now be good at javascript. So save the code to are HDD making a web page with it. Now your javascript stills come in here. Edit the code so that when you click ok or cancel it doesnt alert an annoying message. Make it alert something that would be of use to you. How about v3 and then use that information in the reall challenge in the url.

Javascript 8 You view the source. You find there a secret. You have to presume that its the passowrd cause theres nothing esle. Ok, you see that it looks like the text in javascript 2. So go to the same place and try decryting it. Insert that into the password box. What’s up! Nothing happened!! But something has. View your source agin to find that the cookies have been changed. Insert this secret into the password box and your done!

Javascript 9 We need to use inlining for this one. Try changing the time variable to something a bit smaller. javascript:variable=somethingsmaller; Then he page will load with your new varialbe on it. Click back to the javascript level 9 page and you will be met with a much shorter countdown. Then you’ll see your password!

Javascript 10 This is much like javascript 7. View the source. You will see javascript code. Download it to your HDD and edit it to alert the variables you want. When you click cancel or ok then you should get your password. Go back and use in password box. EASY! Or you can inline like in javascript 9 if you know how.

Javascript 11 This is done exactly like javascript challenge 10. There is lods of random code at the start to confuse the life out of you and it worked on me at the start i must say. Just change the variables to what you need. Voila!

Javascript 12 Again, exactly the same as before. I really didnt think i would work this way at first because it says something about the math but it does.

Javascript 13 Finally the last one! Right, you dont have authorisation. View the soucre. You see that your authorisation is equal to false. Whats the opposite of false. Well alert you cookies to say so.

Javascript 14 This one i very very easy, its like 30 free points, no really it is. Veiw the source, and where would you want to go, that nice directory if you did the challenge… Well maybe you should visit it, it is where you would like to be. !DONE!

Yeah!! You should now have all the javascript challenge done!! (hopefully) This article was brought to you by you friendly nieghbourhood hacker tancurrom

Don’t forget to rate it please! :D:D

Javascript 7 Maddly hit Esc to stop the page people who are doing this challenges, are trying to learn. what will this teach??

tip: view-source:http://www.etc… will give you the source code of the page (this is inserted on the adressbar) the same goes to javasript -> javascript:alert("hello") on the adress bar executes js commands

I think there's an easier way for 9, I just need to find the right variable so I can rewind or cancel it.

Nothing bad towards the author, but you don't have to save the page to disk, you can inline.

i thought it was quite helpful. it was much more useful than most of the other ones. sometimes its refreshing for another point of view. pressing escape as the page loads is quicker and handier than typing. or maybe im just lazy.
