Google videos are free, (So this isn't illegal) so its not wrong to peramantly download them to your desktop. See its really easy.

step 1: Go choose the video you want. step 2: download the video step 3: When you finished the download, change the file extension to 'txt'. step 4: Now click on the file after you changed the extension. There should be a long url in the source. Copy it and paste it in the url bar on your browser. step 5: After you put the url down in url bar, a download link should come up. Download it and the video should come in a .avi format. You must have the latest code in codec to have this playing.

Yours truly, No way bak

I've done this a lot. if you didn't get step 3 and 4.. I'll explain Rather than save the file, just click open with and use notepad. Go to edit find and type in docid

just copy docid and everything before it up until url:http

don't copy the url: part though. Just put that in and it should bring up something to download the .avi you can also google around and find a bookmark that you right click and save and when you go to the site of a video that you want just open that bookmark and it allows you to download the .avi

Here's a really easy way: make a new bookmark and put the title as "Download Google Video" and then paste this in as the URL:

javascript:if(document.getElementById('macdownloadlink')!=null){window.location.href=document.getElementById('macdownloadlink')}else{alert('Go to Google Video to download videos as AVI.')};

Now, if you're using FF you can put that in the Bookmarks Toolbar Folder and it'll show up as a button right beneath your navigation tools. :D
