Getting past Webbalanced blocker

Webbalanced is a blocking service that has popped and to most seems particularly difficult to exploit since it modifies the winsock files to route all "questionable" connections to the webbalanced blocker. Mabye you've seen a place that uses webbalance. If so you may have noticed that there doesn't seem to be any way around it, short of reinstalling the system's winsock files. They have this blocking system at my local library. I couldn't figure out how to get past it, and I couldn't find any articles on it. So I did a little experimenting and found this:

the normal blocking URL looks something like this: http://b.webbalanced.net/p/b.aspx?r=1&o=2674&c=1451&l=4215&u=5503545&p=1460&a=http://talkleft.com/new_archives/014542.html

Now let's see what each one of these arguments does.

r: defines the type of policy that the page is blocked by. 1 means standard and dynamic, 2 gives override button and is office/library policy (the override button does not always work), 3 means not reviewed, 4 means objectionable material, 5 means proxy, 6 means bad subject matter, 7 means wrong username or password, 8 means non-configured account, 9 is same as 8, 10 means SSH site, 11 means expired trial period, 12 means library is denying access, 13 gives override that works, 14 and over null.

o: normally 2674. cannot be null, otherwise can't tell difference.

c: normally 1451. characteristics: hacking, illegal, etc.

l: username used to login. try incrementing or decrementing this number.

u: seems to change characteristics in combination with c.

p: normally 1460. don't notice any other differences it makes.

a: is the address of the blocked page.

basically to get past the blocker just change argument r to 13, then enter a random name and age in the override box when it asks you. you will be redirected to the page you were trying to reach.

Sorry if some of it is a bit unclear. if anyone else finds out anything, write an article.
