Mr_Cheese | 21138 Reads | First off i will say, this will not teach you how to hack hotmail, because it is extremely hard and hotmail have stopped telnet emailing. But what you can do is send emails from other accounts using Telnet. For more information please view Blackace227's article.

Fake Emails
ok, step one to sending fake emails is to search for a mail server.
You can do this by:

open up Command Prompt
-
type 'nslookup' - because we are looking for something on the internet

type 'set q=mx' - this will well it to look for mail servers only
Now you have told the computer to search for mail servers. Next step is to tell it
what site you want it to search for mail servers.
So you now should have something like this on your screen:
Default Server: cache1.yourhost.com
Address: XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
> set q=mx

Now type a name of a website or host, without using the www.
So to search for hotmail mail servers, you should type 'hotmail.com'.
Now a whole list of servers will be displayed.
This works for every website that has a mail server.
Now you have found your mail server, the next step is to fake a email.
To do this you need to:

Open Command Prompt - start > run > cmd

type 'telnet yourmailserver.com 25'- example "telnet mail.hotmail.com 25"
How you should have a blank screen if you are connected.
- type 'helo' - this tells the mailserver to accept your connection
Now the server should respopnd with a welcome message, the message depends on which server your connected to.
So now you are connected you want to send your fake email!!
To do this you must specify who it's from, who it's too etc..
- type 'MAIL FROM: email@email.com' - who the email is from
Now you should get a message: Sender ok
- type 'RCPT TO: victim@victim.com' - who the email is sent to
Now you should get a message: Recipient ok

type 'DATA your email message' - this is the text thats in the email

type '.' - this ends the email message
Now you should get a message: 250 Mail accepted
- type 'QUIT' - exits mail server and sends your email
an example would be:
>helo
Welcome XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX to our mail server
>MAIL FROM: example@server.com
Sender ok
>RCPT TO: victim@server.com
Recipient ok
>DATA hello you do not know who i am and i think you smell
>.
250 Mail accepted
>QUIT
Message Delivered
Thats it, you have just sent a fake email to someone. Easy aye!!

Is there also a way to do it from behind a router??? When I do nslookup I always my LAN ip instead of my WLAN ip :(

the 'data i think you smell' bit is wrong. its supposed to be like this:
> data > Subject: enter subject here > To: Victim <victim@server.com> > From: Fake Name <you@server.com> > // Press enter here > Now here you type your message. Make sure you get it right, dont backspace. > . > QUIT

fucking hell, that didnt format at all like i wanted. every > means new line, except when its around emails, like <victim@server.com>

yeah, far easier to code your own in php. check code bank for the source code.

This wasn't really helpful for me because I have Mac OS X and I don't think I can get a TelNet client. But the info provided was excellent. :happy:

when i tried to sdo it i keeped on getting a screen that like i cant seed whar5 i type -.-

When i try any other mail server, it telnets to a blank page, and when i type anything in, it just dus a space. then after like, 1 minute, it goes back to normal command prompt. how do i fix it?

yeah made my own email bomber which allows you to control everything it does, who its from, who its going to, how many times you want to send it, what you want to say yadadada, if anyone wants a copy of it they can have it

doesn't work for me, it says on Trying to make conection with mail.hotmail.com, for already 2 houres lol, pm me for help

^^^ Try resolving the DNS name to an IP. ^^^
This is a good basic article for people learning about the beauty of SMTP Open Relay. Hopefully, they will not turn into the spammers we all know and despise.

Oh, and you didn't mention that the "helo" can sometimes be an "ehlo". Doesn't happen often, but is possible.

well, I am used to send fake mails over free php servers with set up smtp servers. There is simple mail function… But article is really good, you explained it great :)
