Just change the right serial with the chars you see when you start the app

xing,

you mean there is a different serial than the one that is obvious, i thought it had to do with making a hotkey, i'll have another "peek".

i am having trouble identifying where to do what i have to do. i guess i need a more definitive source of info. i have googled but apparently to no effect (perhaps my notion is wrong), so if some kind soul can post a link to some pertinent data without spoiling … or even a search term that i could try

thanks

There are two parts to this app. The first is getting the correct serial into the text box you see. The second is somehow making it possible to trigger the Enter button. A hint for the second part: there's more than one way to trigger a button.

yes i know and that is what i have been researching and obviously without any success, what i have found doesn't seem to help me, and you are the 2nd person to mention the serial, like as if there might be more than one … i think a good web link is what i need

thanks

Which part are you stuck on? Are you stuck on getting the correct serial? Or are you stuck on how to trigger the button?

thnks for that informative lnk metsoc30, and that is what i have been thinking all along, but i cannot seem to find where to do it in the app, everyplace i try corrupts the file … <frowns>

In that link, closely read the section The Caption: And Using the ampersand (&) in a Command button Caption.

metsoc30,

cool, i knew that was it, and i have tried that idea over and over, (before i requested any help), whether i am not doing it in the right place, which is what is confusing me, everywhere i try to put an (&) i either get a corrupt file or nothing happens. it must be somewhere not as obvious as i'm thinking, and kudos to mr_cheese for such a cool challenge (i know no programming, so i struggle)

as a side note, while searching for button commands, i found another cool app a prof made, where both buttons move when ur mouse gets near, crazy :P

PM me the places you've tried and I'll help you from there.

About enabling Enter button, Do I need to put & somewhere in hex code or what?

ghost's Avatar

You can't just put it anywhere in the hex code, you need to put it in a certain place for the hotkey to trigger the command. So, think about where would you put the hotkey to make it trigger the right command?

Ok guys, I made the hotkey , and it said " U're close " and " Wrong product id" So i changed the product id to a random thing and it only gave "U need to adjust it slightly"… What is there more to do :S Or is there only ONE serial that works ? I thought that everything OTHER than the XXXx… works..

NVM i got it..

Oh.. I thought I had to set a break point for when You Are out of Time and make a JMP to the other message that popped up "Well Done for getting this far blah blah". (basically I thought we needed to actually dive into assembly for the first time…)

The Above Message was For App 8. Sorry :|

could some one PM me with a hint to get the serial??? I got the code to trigger the Enter button, I just need to adjust my serial slightly… the problem to what or how???

I have found the right product key, and I know how to change that with the other. But, I can't figure out where I should put the &. I have tried this: E&ter, so that the 't' will be underlined, but that does not seem to work… Any tips?

I have changed every occurrence of XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX to the product key found in the source. I understand (I think) how the *** keying works, but everything I try just corrupts the file. Some help please?

Okay, got it now. I will check at work on XP, but i'm sure I did exactly at home what I did at work, and XP did not let me open the file. Of course, I may be going mad.

It worked at work, guess I was just doing it wrong.

The serial is in the source & all you have to do is to enter "something" to allow you to click the exit button

you do not click the exit button you click it by the use of an alternative way

Hope you get it from that hint :P
