app1 odd expereince

I have just started here and have done app1. I found the password, but it did not word on the app I had to download, only on the HBH website.

I got the points, but I want to know why the password did not work on the app. Is there another password I didn't see?

Thanks for the post. I see it now. I saw that using just a strings command and disregarded it because the other password was more obvious to me.

what are you talking about? you dont need an encoder/decoder. just use notepad.

i agree. for the first few, all you need is notepad. then thats when you need the other debuggers.
