Everybody likes to see their name published, so I'm attempting a new idea to gather some interesting tidbits from the community to be published in the next Newsletter.
I'm looking for questions (i.e. a Q&A style thing), funny forum posts (or jokes perhaps), product/software review, code snippets, etc. Pretty much anything other people might find interesting to read, but is too short to submit to HBH as an article.
If you've got anything to submit, PM me and I'll give you feedback and possibly publish it in the next Newsletter. This thread is for questions concerning this topic only, not submissions.
I look forward to hearing from you.

God that took forever. Good thing we have a good moderating team here to help on stuff like this so that ordinary members don't have to deal with it. Oh, wait…
Anyway- continue on with your hopeless effort to raise some sort of positive response out of this bunch. And good luck, too- you're gonna need it.

Unfortunately the only people that read that were the ones who contributed and newcomers to HBH. Fact. A problem I hope to correct. Other members seem to have read the Newsletter. Just look at the comments threads.
What's wrong with posting all this on the homepage… under 'News'? Rather than using a fucking feed.
By "feed" do you mean forum thread? There's nothing wrong with posting this in the news except for the fact that I don't have the ability to do so and HBH's admins haven't been around lately.
If you've got something valuable to contribute then great, otherwise go away.

Well if that's the case on the Zine/Newsletter - then I stand corrected.
And yes, I do have something to contribute, it's known as constructive criticism. What's the point working for a website that the admins don't give a fuck about?
Given my situation as a long term member and committed admin - I'd say (given the remit of your newsletter) then my posts are pretty fucking valuable. Don't you agree?
If you don't - then write a blog. Cos the only person you're trying to impress is you.

Given my situation as a long term member and committed admin I may be wrong, but I don't recall having seen you around here doing admin duties for quite some time.
If you don't - then write a blog. Cos the only person you're trying to impress is you. I'm not trying to "impress" anybody. You are a sadly misinformed person. It's best not to start talking before you know what you're talking about; just a word of advice.
Just throwing in my two cents here. I think that this is a great idea. Not only that this will be very informational, but I think that it could spark some more interest around here. There are a lot of knowledgeable people around here. Some people although may me crude at sometimes can be very funny, and intriguing to listen to on comments and situations they are involved in. My suggestion would be more on tips of the week. This could be on: more efficient code, latest exploits, tips on web design, etc, etc.
I feel like I can contribute a little on stuff like logical thinking for web layout, css, and finding and writing more efficient code. Although, I may not be the best on either subject I feel like it would benefit others as well as myself. Remember some people are better at somethings then others. So if I am wrong on something, it gives someone else a chance to speak up and correct it. Therefore, giving more information out to the community.
I know everyone's first response to something is "Just Google it!", I know because I have suggested this myself. I think if we can offer this information people will be more inclined to ask for more. Then maybe, people will start being more involved around here. Just my two cents.
