k i have downloaded it and in the run folder there is 5 exes witch one do i use?

you need to open it with command prompt, use the .exe that named john-????, i'm not sure what its called becasue i renamed it 'john' so its easier to use.

k i have that and it has the options thingy listed but i dont have a clue on how to make it start brute forceing it could someone please post a eg on the syntax of it

If you're using JTR 1.7 then type john -mmx nameoffileinjtrfolder.txt.

do i put the password hash in that file or a password list or both?

edit: i got how to put it in file and it seems to be working..
