Hi everyone

I'm a bit stuck on Basic 10 with the whole proxy thing. I know the range i need to find but can't find any that are suitable.

Any suggestions or links would be greatfully recieved as i know what i need to do but just can't find one with a suitable range!

Just … get lucky.

you dont need like a site proxy, you need one that is like

555.555.555.555:8000 ip address:port

now how to use those or which one works is up to you to find

what do you do with the range. i figured out how to change the settings on my router but what does the range mean exactly. what part do you change.

my ip adress is 192.168.2.1

what part would you change for this.

also it says the protocal is DCHP and i remember something saying that if you're using some type of protocal you can't change it. is this that protocal.

why are you trying to change settings on your router? All you have to do is find the right proxy. use it, and your done. A LOT easier. I got my proxy at www.proxy4free.com.

These are the IPv4 addresses for private networks. This means no one can have an IP within these ranges on the internet, but only in private networks.

Network Range_______Class___Start of range_____End of range The 24-bit Block______A_______10.0.0.0_________10.255.255.255 The 20-bit Block______B_______172.16.0.0_______172.31.255.255 The 16-bit Block______C_______192.168.0.0______192.168.255.255

For firefox you don't NEED a plug in to get that to work. It's also NOT changing router settings. Please take some networking before you do this, much less headaches for you and whoever wants to help.

Listen, Firefox's built in proxy. Go to these menus Tools>Options>Advanced>Network>Settings

Hit manual proxy configuration, check the box that says to use this address for all protocols. After that if you can't get it take your schools networking course or get on google.

yea i got it to work it was just finding the right proxy. and i didn't bother messing with the router settings.
