I've been trying at this challenge for a while and was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to help me with it. I'm fairly confident in my answers but apparently that's doesn't help. If someone would look at and point me towards the mistake/s I'm making. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
well, for this mission, it's important that you have a little knowledge unix commands. If you don't it can be pretty tough. I recommend looking into it on google if you haven't already. you also know that you have to change something which gives you a big clue to the command you need. It also asks you to remove it. So you need to find the deleting command. remember that is says to put a $ in front of the command too because if you don't have it in front of all of them, it will tell you you're wrong. it also may help if you look into finding the format for the file directory system. i recommend you try to find where the log file is stored. Think… URL =). if you had a website, where would you store log files at?
Look around on this site and you will find all you really need to know to do this particular challenge. If you go to the find members section and click on system meltdown then you can find a nice article that makes it easy to beat this challenge in fact it pretty much tells you the answer. It is titled Basic 1 to 17. If that doesn't help then use the search function there are plenty of places on this site where these challenges are explained. You just have to take the time to look for them and if they don't help do an internet search to find out more about a subject.
I have been trying this challenge for some time know, I know Unix commands, especially the ones for this challenge. I just can't get down the right syntax for the directory structure I think I have put in all dir's, up to challenges is there something i am missing i also tried with no dir's and just the first dir but just a error message comes up. any suggestions. thanks
