Hi all,

Another Noobie to the site, so pretty much trying to research stuff as i go along, i have managed to find the username on this challenge, and by looking at it i'm assuming this needs decrypting? Am i correct? If so i used jtr to do this using cains wordlist and was given a word, now i'm stuck with finding the password?

I;ve read through many threads, but as i said i'm a complete noobie and was wondering if anyone can give me a slight push as to the next step? I'm happy to do the reading and reserach, as its the best way to learn, but just stumped at the mo?

well if you found the user name then you also found the password

username:password

so if you cracked the hash part you solved the whole problem
