Got comp issues and want to reformat, but I have a few gb's of things I want to save. Can't get onto windows (cursed blue screen) so I am using Lives. Anyway I can save some files somewhere so I can download them again? (ubuntu live cd's and dsl-n) Thx
yeah, I have a couple old HDD's and an external enclosure sitting around, as well as a 1g and 4g usb stick. It's nice having extra stuff. Of course, you could always use CDs, lol… Boot ubuntu or dsl and use its burning utility, it should be no problem there.
Well, I can't get into the files individually, just the HDD partition that asks if I want to copy it to a CD. Will it compress it and is there a free, instant access like, storage place where I can hold 8-9 gig of things? (30 day trial is ok)
