DNS Issue
I recently got a new computer with FC6, and while my DSL gateway and my Ethernet card showed that everything was ok, I was having real trouble connecting to the internet. I could get to the FC6 homepage and such, but if I typed anything into the address bar I got diddly, so I figured that my DNS was not set up to forward my DNS queries to my ISP's nameserver (well, I didn't figure it that way, I had a hunch, but a friend pointed me in that direction.) So, I call up my ISP and get the DNS numbers, configure it, it's cool… But now I have to do this every bloody time I log on, and I'm getting sick of it. Is there any way to get the settings to just stick?! I had this same problem on my old Windows 98, except I never figured it out.
maybe you should try a different DNS, try openDNS - it even makes your internet faster :) website: http://www.opendns.com/ dns #1: 208.67.222.222 dns #2: 208.67.220.220
ps. Just found this on their site, might be of use ;) http://www.opendns.com/start/unix.php
