Shutting Down Problem, Won't auto shutdown

My media computer in the living room is runnign windows media edition. and When i press shut down, it brings up windows is shutting down screen but stays like that and never does. Is there any settings im missing?

Run a trend micro scan. Whatever it deletes should fix it.
