Compaq Problems
I recently bought a compaq. I then installed linux on a seprerate harddrive. I then had problems with Windows, so I did system restore. when windows started back up, it said CODE PURPLE and that I had to contact surport. They said that I had to send it in for over $200 so they can rethread the Motherboard. Is there a way i can get windows working again without sending it back in?
PS: I typed all of this on my PSP!!!
screw that dude……if i were u i'd return the laptop to where i got it and go toshiba…..beleive me on this one, i used to work at an office depot and i know exactly wut compaq is tryin to do…..definitely go toshiba as they have much better support and u dont have to worry about them as much….and b4 u send it back to compaq, try obtaining a copy of windows to install on the laptop and make sure that compaq just doesnt want $200+ for a windows reinstall ;)
