it's a whois response on skype, don't know what the encryption is after the colon.

It's not hex, Skype uses AES 256-bit encryption.

I simply made a statement on what type of encryption Skype is using. His response could be anything from someones actual user name or could just be a generated false.

The point of encrypted data is that it should appear random and indistinguishable. If what Korg says skype is using is true, it's likely that, but Tucak has the best idea. If you're curious about the protocol, check out the inner workings of it via the link he gave.
