merging partitions using qtparted

I've decided to get rid of Windows Vista for my laptop and use Linux exclusively on my laptop.

The hard disk is partitioned into three: 30GB for Windows, 512MB for swap and the balance is Linux. (the hard disk is 80GB )

so using the qtparted disk, i deleted the windows partition, but there was no option of merging it, only resizing or formatting the partition.

Is there a way to merge the formatted windows partition to the Linux partition?

I've googled it, but I can't find a solution.

first of all your answer straight away, : qtparted doesn't have merging facility.

also another way by which you can get this done is by trying to resize your linux partition to acomodate free space created by windows partitions

also have a look at gparted also, a gtk frontend for parted.
