I just bought a new Toshiba Satellite A205, it came with Vista of course, is there an easy way or even a hard one to remove this garbage and format the HDD so I can install my Kubuntu on it. I was able to do a duel boot with my old one, Sony Vaio, which came with XP, somehow the same procedure is not working with Vista,. I was able to free up 75GB of disc pace to install Kubuntu using Vista utility, when I boot from Kubuntu CD, it will load up and I will click on the first option which is "start or install Kubuntu", after that I will get this error. "can't access tty: job control turned off" "(initramfs) -" any ideas ? will be appreciated

Easy way to remove vista.

Put in Vista Disc (Ensure BIOS is set up to boot to CD before HD) and FORMAT the drive :P

otherwise you can just put in Kubuntu (Why not just use Debian?) and boot that way.
