It's been a while and there hasn't been any small EM competition…

So, could we have some interesting challenging competition to get us to rock. Any ideas for small competitions..

May be Mr_Cheese can add something..

So guys what ya think about this..

I'd go for both, despite I have no true practical rooting experience, and I don't stand a chance on web based content, but still I'm in. Also some programming challenge would be great, I'll try to come up with something, the code golfing wasn't a bad idea.

Well, just open some exloits in the OS, maybe some website exploits aswell. Use your imagination. ^^

You're up to it or not? :)

anyways. I got my fedora hooked up and allowed a telnet server through our router but it won't let me connect with putty

any suggestions?

Im kinda confused by your problem. You set up a telnet server, and forwarded port 23. Then from an outside IP you tried to access the computer using a putty telnet client correct?

A- is that port still filtered by your ISP/router? – run nmap and check. B- can you connect to it using an unencrypted telnet connection?
